After losing its first game of the season, the Coe-Brown boys’ basketball team has run off seven straight wins to carve out a place atop the Division II standings, and Monitor Player of the Week Sam Lupinacci has been instrumental to that success. Lupinacci, a 6-foot-1-inch senior, scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Bears’ 71-51 win against Kingswood on Thursday. Lupinacci followed that up with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in Coe-Brown’s 58-44 win at Bow on Friday. Next up for Lupinacci and the Bears is a game against Plymouth on Tuesday.
