The National Weather Service recorded a temperature of 82 degrees at 3:56 p.m. at the Concord airport. That’s 1 degree shy of the record set on April 10, 1922, meteorologist Chris Kimble said. “We’ll have another chance tomorrow,” he added. “The record is 84, and it should be in the 80s again” on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to cool down into the 60s later in the week.
