Part of the team

Thirteen-year-old Addyson Stadler, of New London, became an official member of the Colby-Sawyer women’s soccer team on Wednesday in special draft through Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit that matches children facing serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic programs. As a team member, Addyson will attend Chargers practices, games, team dinners and other events. Addyson, who was diagnosed in 2013 with Type 1 Diabetes, also received her own Colby-Sawyer soccer jersey.

Middle school result

The Rundlett Middle School girls’ soccer “A” team lost to Hudson in the semifinals in a hard-fought game. Emma Torija was strong in net. “All the girls showed great improvement throughout the season and were a pleasure to coach,” RMS Coach Amy Sherr said.

JV result

The Merrimack Valley girls’ JV soccer team finished its season with a record of 12-1-1 and was the runner-up in the state tournament in Hanover. Team members are Cassidy Consadine, Nicole Consadine, Hannah Costello, Addison Hodge, Theresa Irving, Katelin Locke, Elizabeth Laroche, Aislinn McDonald, Lauren Pettingill, Emily Philbrook, Deanna Bourque, Rebecca Bron, Emily Koufos, Rebbecca Latham, Alina Longver, Trinity Place, Rhiley Tanguay and team manager Hayley Kenney.

Tilton results

Patrick Guinee led the Tilton School boys’ cross country team with a first-place finish against New Hampton, Holderness and White Mountains at Abenaki Ski Area in Wolfeboro. Guinee finished in a time of 18:37.

Maddie Clark, of Contoocook, led the Tilton School girls’ cross country team with a first-place finish at Abenaki Ski Area in Wolfeboro. Clark finished nearly two minutes ahead of the runner-up.

New Hampton result

The New Hampton School girls’ soccer team tied Kimball Union Academy, 2-2.

Plymouth State result

The Plymouth State women’s volleyball team fell to Keene State, 3-1. Megan Bailey, of Canterbury, posted 33 assists for the Panthers.

Colby-Sawyer result

The Colby-Sawyer men’s soccer team lost to Plymouth State, 3-2. Jake Sykes, of Laconia, scored the Chargers’ second goal, his sixth of the season.

College standout

Shelby Herrington, of Bow, recorded an assist and was 8-for-9 at the faceoff dot to help the No. 7 Northeastern women’s hockey team defeat UNH, 4-1.

Flag football result

Nolan Linstad and Paul Boucher both scored touchdowns to lead the Salisbury Buccaneers past the Salisbury Redskins, 12-0, in the first game of the season. Will Lee and Brody Benoit-Chellis were strong on the defensive side for the Buccaneers.

Second grade pre-season basketball league run by Concord High School basketball coaches Dave Chase and Tim LaTorra will lead volunteer coaches through skills and drills.
