Police say they are still investigating the death of a Penacook man whose body was found in the Contoocook River in July.
Concord Police Lt. Sean Ford said the department is waiting for the results of a toxicology test for Chris Audet, 45, whose body was found behind Island Shores Estates in Penacook on July 8.
Audet was last seen fishing and was wearing swim trunks and a T-shirt when he was found. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Marine Patrol initially said his death did not appear suspicious, but later opened a full investigation.
Audet, a father of four, was born in the Concord area and attended Merrimack Valley High School. His family said he often visited the swimming hole behind Island Shores Estates.
