Four people were arrested in Belmont on Wednesday morning after a brawl broke out a gas station parking lot, police said.
Officials were called to the a Penguin Mart off Route 106 about 7:42 a.m. for reports of multiple people punching each other in the face and throwing each other against the gas station’s wall, Belmont Lt. Richard Mann wrote in a press release.
Katie Lynn Beaupre, Kristine Lacharite, Peter Lacharite and Carmen Cinseruli were all arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault, Mann said.
Video surveillance showed that the fight had begun with a verbal argument between Katie Lynn Beaupre, 32, and Kristine Lacharite, 48. Soon after, Lacharite’s son, Peter Lacharite, 22, tackled Beaupre, Mann said.
Then, a bystander, Carmen Cinseruli, 52, who witnessed Peter Lacharite engage Katie Lynn Beaupre, joined the brawl.
Mann said the officer who initially responded requested back up to control the fighting. All officers on duty in Belmont reported to the scene, he said.
“We basically emptied the station,” Mann said.
Mann said the area around the gas station was very busy at the time of the fight.
“While we are glad no one was seriously injured as a result of this event, we certainly do not condone grown adults acting in this manner,” Mann wrote. “(We) hope in the future they can seek a more civilized way to resolve their differences.”
All individuals were released with a Jan. 17, 2019 court date to appear at 8:30 a.m. at the Laconia District Court.
