The state Department of Transportation is looking for feedback from Boscawen residents on bridge preservation work that will begin in the town in early 2020.
David Scott, Bridge Design Chief for N.H. DOT, said officials will visit Boscawen’s town office building at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday to talk about construction proposed on two bridges, one on U.S. Route 4 over Commercial Street and another on Tremont Street over the Contoocook River.
Scott said DOT wants to hear from residents in order to make the process as unobtrusive as possible.
He said the bridge work will be done in two phases of six to eight weeks each. Preservation work is usually completed on bridges every 20 years, Scott said.
The Tremont Street bridge was build in 1955, Scott said. The Route 4 bridge was built in 1958.
