■The Bow Garden Club will hold their Annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend) from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bow Community Center, 3 Bow Center Road. ■The Bow Garden Club is sponsoring a bus trip to the 12th annual Newport, R.I., Flower Show being held at the elegant Rosecliff Mansion on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Non-garden club members are welcome to come along and enjoy the floral designs, outdoor garden displays and horticulture exhibits this event offers. There will also be lectures and demonstrations to take in as well as the sheer beauty of the mansion, its oceanfront lawn and spectacular water views. This year’s flower show is themed “Audubon Artistic Adventures” and promises to be a feast for the eyes. ■Blessings of the Animals at the Congregational Church on Sunday at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Bring your animals to Church for a special blessing. The church has had chickens, reptiles, sheep, and rabbits along with dogs and cats. The service will be held outside, on the vestry lawn. ■The Grand Resort Hotels of the White Mountains: Architecture, History and the Preservation Record will be presented Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Dunbarton Library. Architectural historian Bryant Tolles, Jr. shares the history and architecture of the grand resort hotel phenomenon and hospitality tourism in the White Mountains of N.H. from the pre-Civil War era to the present. The primary focus is on the surviving grand resort hotels. Extensive illustrations document these buildings and others no longer in existence. This program is free and open to the public through a grant from the N.H. Humanities’ “Humanities to Go!” speakers bureau.

Erik also qualified for and chose a position as a 13M (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems Crewmember). Due to his academic performance, Erik also secured an enlistment bonus of $20,000.
