■Bow Junction will be the featured musical group at the High Street Coffee House on Friday at the Boscawen Town Hall in the basement of the Congregational Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and Bow Junction opens the evening at 7 p.m. and closes it at 9:30 p.m. An open mic period is held in the middle with poets, musicians and comedians entertaining the crowd. Admission is free and refreshments are available.
■Interested in sharing your stories and getting guidance on how to put them in writing? Members of the Writer’s Workshop are eager to meet you. Their next meeting is Monday at 6 p.m. at the library. The workshop is led by Sheila Mable, facilitator and former English teacher.

■Canterbury Community Farmers Market – the last outdoor market of this season is Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the town center. This is Bountiful Baskets week! And come buy pumpkins and gourds planted at Apple Hill by the Canterbury Elementary School fifth-graders raising money for their annual field trip to Nature’s Classroom. ■Kairos Earth is celebrating the fifth birthday of Church in the Woods at 92 Foster Road on Saturday and Sunday. Campfire cookout Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. morning service, followed by Blessing of the Pies, and potluck lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The new meeting house will be open for viewing, and an afternoon trail walk will take place from before the last service at 3 p.m. Kairos Earth will provide pies, hot tea, coffee and cider, attendees invited to bring other dishes, and their own utensils and plates/mugs.
