Chichester Make it, take it art class

Laury Nichols, known around Chichester for her carved animal characters, will host a free Make-It and Take-It Class on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the town’s library. Participants can build free-standing, posable characters of any size from wood, wire, paper mache and other items, which can then be fitted with thrift-store clothing, Halloween costumes or whatever the individual wishes. Nichols will provide instruction and no experience is necessary. All ages are welcome, and pre-registration is required. For details or to sign up, email Nichols at Laury@LNicholswoodcarving.com, call her at 435-8240, or text her (include your email address) at 450-9671.
