A Concord man with a history of domestic violence was arrested twice in an 11-hour span in Bow last week.
Jason Rowan, 43, was initially taken into custody on April 1 after police responded to a business on River Road to investigate a reported disturbance. Police spoke with Rowan on scene and ultimately charged him with a misdemeanor count of domestic violence-related simple assault.ย
Rowan was taken by cruiser to the Bow Police Department where the arrest was processed. He was then released on personal recognizance and ordered to have no contact with the victim, police said.
But at 11:30 that night, police responded to a second report of a domestic assault involving Rowan. Police allege Rowan assaulted the same victim from earlier in the day while drivingย north on Route 3A. The suspect vehicle was located near Tallwood Drive and Rowan was taken into custody a second time. In addition to a second charge of domestic violence, he also faces one count of breach of bail.
The two cases will be prosecuted in Concordโs district court.
Rowan has a criminal record in New Hampshire and has previously faced both misdemeanor and felony-level domestic violence charges, including in Merrimack and Concord.
