■All in-person Dunbarton Congregational Church activities have been canceled, but hopefully will return in May. This includes worship, Bible Study, Coffee House, Curios on the Common, office hours and all meetings. If you find yourself needing something, please contact the pastor at robertvodra@gmail.com, or call the church. If he is not there, his cell number is on the answering machine and will take calls and texts. The church has a food pantry for the community and can help if you are in need.
■The DCC Book Club will be reading The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. The club will have its discussion on May 7, either in-person or on Zoom (to be determined).
■The Dunbarton Police Department has reduced in-person contacts while continuing to provide the services our community needs. Please try to conduct business with staff over the phone or by email whenever possible. If you can avoid coming into the police station, please do so. They will respond to in-progress emergencies as always. They will continue to respond to medical calls, but may respond differently, depending on the circumstances and the risk of infection. A dropbox has been installed next to the front door at the police station where residents can quickly and securely drop off paperwork. Forms may be found at dunbartonpolice.weebly.com under the “Services & Forms” tab.
■Best wishes to Detective Laura Purslow as she begins a new position at the Weare Police Department. Thank you for serving the Town of Dunbarton for the past five years.
