Concord

Jacqueline Elizabeth Bengtson was named to the president’s list for the fall semester at Rollins College in Winter park, Florida.

Megan Gaudette, a student at NHTI, was named a 2020 New Century Workforce Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship. This scholarship is the first of its kind to support students at associate degree-granting institutions on a national scale as they plan to enter the workforce upon the completion of a degree or certificate. The program is sponsored by The Coca-Cola Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. New Century Workforce Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. Over 2,200 students were nominated from more than 1,200 college campuses across the country. Only one New Century Workforce Scholar was selected from each state.

Gilford

Kianna Olson graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., following the fall semester with a degree in business.

Hillsboro

Mikaela Newman was inducted as a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She is a junior at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass.

New London

Emily Cobb has been sworn in as chief of police for the town of New London. She began her service for the town in 2016 and most recently held the rank of lieutenant.

Pembroke

Maegan Gagne graduated from the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a doctorate in philosophy and botany.

Weare

Leah Ning won the international writing contest “The Writers of the Future.” The Weare native now lives in Herndon, Va. She was published in L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 36 with her story “Yellow and Pink,” her first writing sale.
