■The Suncook Senior Center has a “Grab and Go” program that is held on Monday and Thursday between 11 a.m. and noon. Seniors are welcome to come and pick up five meals provided by the Community Action Program. Please call in advance to make a reservation for meals. Orders will be brought outside when you arrive. ■Remember to get your Halloween Lighting Contest votes in by Friday. The Award Ceremony will be held on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Town Hall, 16 School St.

■Voting for the general election on Nov. 3 will be at the St. John the Baptist Parish Hall. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A large turnout is expected. Town officials will provide all Allenstown residents a safe and efficient voting experience.

■Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. at the Grange Hall, Town Office, 54 Main St., to register voters and make corrections and deletions to the checklist. Applicants should bring photo ID, proof of Chichester residency, proof of U.S. citizenship and wear masks. Qualified applicants who do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications. The current checklist will be posted in the notice board case outside the Town Office, inside the Town Office and at the library. Chichester Supervisors encourage residents to register ahead of time rather than waiting in line on election day. Contact the town clerk at chichesternh.org for an appointment to register. You can also find voter and registration information at app.sos.nh.gov.

■Return your completed absentee ballots to the Town Clerk’s Office during the following business hours: Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Knock on the door or call 798-5350 ext. 1 for assistance.

■The Historical Society will meet from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday to see the vintage scare crows.

■The Board of Selectmen have voted to hold traditional trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday. The Chichester Police Department will also have a Social Distance Challenge. Sign up on Chichester Police Department Facebook page. Three winners will be chosen and will receive gift cards to the Chichester Country Store. Maps will be available on the police department bulletin board.

■The library will be offering a unique trick-or-Treat opportunity Monday through Saturday during library hours. Kids can enter the library (five at a time with social distancing and masks) and pick out a free book from the big table as well as a bag with candy and a toy.

■Voting will take place at Chichester Central School on Nov. 3.

EPSOMECS flu clinic

■Epsom Central School is continuing with the Backpack Program, supported by End 68 Hours of Hunger and numerous volunteers. The Backpack Program’s goal is to provide a weekend’s supply of food for students when school breakfast and lunch are unavailable. ■Drop off your pumpkin for the Jack O’Lantern Jubilee on Sunday between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the PYBA Fields on Tilton Hill Road. Write your first and last name and phone number on the bottom of the pumpkin. Three cash prizes will be awarded.

■The First Congregational Church of Pittsfield’s Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry has seen an increase in numbers since reopening in June. Donations of size 3, 4, 5 and 6 diapers are needed, along with wipes, pull-ups and overnights. Call the church at 435-7471 to arrange a drop off. ■Suncook Valley Rotary will be canceling its annual Penny Sale this year.

■The First Congregational Church will hold a special dedication ceremony at its Nov. 8 10 a.m. service. The church will dedicate over 250 dresses, handmade by members and friends of the congregation. The ultimate destination for the dresses is Hope 4 Women International’s “Dress-a-Girl Around the World” program, which provides dresses for girls in disadvantaged countries.

■The Pittsfield Senior Center is offering curbside pickup meals every Monday and Thursday. Call the center at 435-8482 for information. Monthly activity packets, books and puzzle books available for free. Donations of greeting cards, stamps, masks and small bottles of hand sanitizer are needed.
