Despite the snow and frigid temperatures, on Saturday at 10 a.m., members of the Buntin-Rumford-Webster Chapter, NSDAR, participated in a Wreaths Across America ceremony to place wreaths at the graves of 28 veterans of the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 at the Old Fort Cemetery in East Concord. The chapter was assisted by members of the City of Concord Cemetery Department, who braved heavy snow to ensure that the wreaths were laid. This annual event enables the group to remember, honor and teach the members and community about the sacrifices of these brave men.

The Buntin-Rumford-Webster Chapter has adopted the Old Fort Cemetery and works annually to repair, clean and reset the stones there.

Members of DAR can trace their ancestry, through genealogy, back to a Revolutionary War patriot.
