■Town Offices are closed to walk-in business per the Board of Selectmen. Appointments are only for transactions that cannot be processed online or through the mail. Business hours are on Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. Please call or email the Town Offices to check if the situation has changed before you go.
■Interlibrary loan will resume this week. No-contact pick-ups will be offered on the library front porch. Returns will be accepted in the red bin. Items quarantine for 72 hours and then disinfected before they are checked in. Do not worry if they remain on your account. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask when picking up items. Do not enter the building. You may ring the doorbell if you need assistance.
■The DCC Book Club is now reading There There by Tommy Orange. The discussion will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. on Zoom. All are welcome.

■“Winter Backyard Birds Virtual Slide Show and Presentation” by Stephen R. Hale, PhD of Open World Explorers is scheduled for Jan 12 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Please contact the library for the link. This is an interactive, bird-quiz format. The program will enable the audience to test their own knowledge. ID tips are offered for identifying common and not-so-common winter birds frequenting the backyards in our area. Advice on attracting and feeding birds will be provided. Introduction to the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count and how to participate is included.
■The library’s Virtual Book Chat discussion will be held Jan. 20 at noon via Zoom.

■The Contoocook Farmers’ Market outdoor season has ended. In place of the traditional winter market, the market is moving online to HarvestToMarket.com. Place your order by Wednesday night each week for Saturday morning pick-ups between 10 a.m. and noon at the Train Depot. Masks are required. ■The Hopkinton Town Library has revised walk through guidelines. There is a building occupancy limit of five library visitors per half hour. Hours are Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call to reserve your half hour slot. If capacity has not been reached, walk-ins are still welcome. Please wear masks covering your nose and mouth.
