Evangeline Poirier, 3, of Concord visits the backyard of Pleasant View Retirement on Jan. 14, to wave at her great grandmother, Sally Nicoll, 88,  and chat briefly via her second-floor apartment window. The independent living facility has not been open to visitors for most of the past year due to protections in place for COVID-19. Most residents of the facility received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccinations on this day, arranged through Genesis Healthcare, which operates the facility, and implemented by a mobile team dispatched from CVS pharmacy.
