US Cellular named Angelica Whitney of Concord as one of three winners from the company’s sixth-annual The Future of Good program. Whitney was selected out of hundreds of nominations from across the country as someone who is creating positive change in their community. As a selected winner, she received $10,000 to further her cause.

Angelica volunteers on behalf of her high school robotics team to create and donate PPE to agencies in her area to help maintain a safer community. The beneficiaries include police departments, hospitals, nursing homes, veterinary clinics, and schools including her own. She has raised $2,000 and created more than 7,000 pieces of additional PPE, such as door openers and earpieces for the benefit of local NH agencies.

“Angelica has been doing great work in Concord, and I’m excited to see her efforts rewarded through The Future of Good program,” said Tabatha McKay, area vice president/general manager for US Cellular in New England. “Amazing young heroes are all around us and US Cellular is proud to showcase their work, invest in them and support them to continue to do good.”

US Cellular has championed many causes through The Future of Good program, including the fight against hunger and homelessness, the protection of the environment and expansion of education and literacy.
