■Girls Scouts Founders Day was celebrated in the month of October. The local Girl Scout Troop, under the leadership of Malinda Weir, is having an information night at Chichester Central School on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. Girl Scouts discover unique talents, try new things, build new skills and enjoy fun girl-led activities. Learn the opportunities the Girl Scouts have to share with other girls.
■The Chichester Library offers Music and Movement for toddlers every Thursday at 10:45 a.m. Preschool Story hours are every Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. Both events are outside weather permitting. On Nov. 3 at the town hall, a presentation of “Watching the Lights Go Out” will be presented.
■Sally Kelly was recognized by CCA Global Partners employee of the month with over 25 years of going above and beyond for the members. Her experience and understanding of members’ needs with her enthusiastic ways had her in this spotlight. Sally has volunteered many hours for the Town of Chichester as a school board member, as school moderator, at state, town and school elections, and various town and school committees.

■The basketball season at Chichester Central School has started. The third and fourth grade girls had enough interest that there will be a school team coached by Eric Hussey as they play in the Merrimack Basketball League. Boys in grades fifth through sixth have a dedicated team coached by Cipriano. Boys seventh through eighth grade coached by Julia Valotto and Dave Hussey. Due to low sign up numbers, the sixth grade girls will move up to a team coached by Gordon Bilodeau.
■Concord Tractor on Dover Road offers free pallets, self-load, to anyone who can use them. Check-in at the office for availability.
■The Cemetery Trustees have announced that Oct. 31 is the last day for removing memorabilia displayed at gravestones. American flags will be removed after Veterans Day.
■Winding Wick Farm, The DiTaranto-Hromas Team, had a successful showing of sheep at Eastern States and Fryeburg Fair. Various winning categories were Champion White Romney ram, ewe and supreme ewe. A second-place ewe lamb and natural colored ewe. As well as a champion white ram and white ewe along with the Peoples Choice Award.
■The Chichester Youth Association was established in 1996 to provide and promote athletic programs for kindergarten through sixth grade. U10 soccer players had two teams and completed their last tournament game on Saturday with a successful season of learning skills and human growth. Chichester Team 1 played six games in seven hours. Kudos to this team for placing third out of 15 teams.
■Chichester players on the Pembroke Academy Girls Soccer team have shown success during the entire soccer season being well coached and aggressive. Pembroke has pressed hard to have a record of 15-0 showing a ninth shutout for the season.
■The Making Strides against Breast Cancer of NH annual walk is a role that Chichester residents participate in to support relatives and friends who are fighting cancer or are cancer survivors. Residents showed names of Chichester residents who need support in this ongoing battle. Your Town Crier is honored to be a cancer survivor that was displayed with other residents in the walk. Thank you.
■Residents and property owners who travel to warmer weather during the winter can fill out a Request for Security Check on their vacant property and the Chichester Police Department will check on your premises.
■Bear Hill Road and Center Road have been tarred and good comments on the job have been spoken by residents. Center Road has a new digital speed sign.
■Chichester School second-graders, taught by Mrs. Mara and Mrs. Douglas, ventured outside to learn Eureka Math lessons. The class learned to prepare, measure and scoop, cut and bake apple pies using their measuring units. All got to enjoy their results.
■Heather Taluba of the Chichester Fire and Rescue shared a message link to mark National Move Over Day to promote awareness of move over laws. Amber, blue and red lights are meant to protect and save lives on the road. Legislations require residents to move over a lane or slow down if traffic is heavy when approaching or passing emergency vehicles.
■The Epsom-Chichester Lions Club recycling can trailer is at the Chichester Fire Department parking lot. The trailer will be removed when the temp drops to below freezing. Now is the time to recycle those cans before cold weather.
■The Chichester Library has partnered with The Suncook Valley Rotary Club to provide all newborns in Chichester with a book. The Books for Babies project has sent out 14 books in Chichester. Contact the library for information.
■The Chichester Planning Board will meet on Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chichester Fire Department meeting room. There will be a site plan review for DBU-12 Dover Road Map 151 B to discuss constructing a commercial use building with a service road to the rear where a helipad and hanger are proposed. A request will be heard from CMAF 172 Dover Road Map 3 Lot 12 to update an existing approved site plan for the purpose of using the site for car sales. For complete details contact Town Hall.

■Congrats to the Chichester Central School coed soccer team for taking the end-of-season championship. A banner will be placed in the school and each player will receive recognition.
■The Chichester School Board is seeking three to five volunteers to be members of the school budget advisory group to preview and analyze the upcoming school budget. The group will present their observations, suggestions and recommendations after attending school board meetings through March. ■On Nov. 2 at the First Congregational Church, the Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Each family is eligible to come for the supplemental diapers once per opening (twice a month).
