Two people incarcerated in New Hampshire facilities have died this week in unrelated incidents.
The Department of Corrections announced the investigation into the untimely death of an inmate at the New Hampshire Men’s Prison in Concord in a press release Tuesday. The department said no additional information would be released after the family was notified and an autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
Randy Hall, a prisoner at the Valley Street jail in Manchester, died on Tuesday after he was admitted to Elliot Hospital on Nov. 3, the Union Leader reported. Superintendent Willie Scurry told the newspaper that the 48-year-old Nashua resident did not have COVID-19, despite a current outbreak at the jail run by Hillsborough County.
