Center Woods Elementary School first-grader Annabelle Evans learned about artist Chris Uphues, a working artist best known for his colorful and playful pop art during a lesson with CWES art teacher Ms. Morocco. Timed to align with Valentine’s day, students drew heart cartoon shapes and colored their artwork using two different media. Annabelle used a wet paintbrush over markers to create a watercolor look.
