■If you are looking for spring vacation ideas for your school-age children, the Boscawen Public Library wants to let you know that they are offering a Crafts Group on April 28. The fun begins at 2 p.m., the kids will be making Mother’s Day cards and gifts. All materials will be provided. Additionally, discounted museum passes to See Science Center and McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center are available to library patrons.
■A Special Town Meeting will be held on Friday at the Boscawen Elementary School starting at 7 p.m. The meeting will review if the town will vote to cure any defects in the posting of the notice of the 2022 Town Meeting and to ratify actions taken at the meeting.
■Sign-ups for the Old Home Day Town-Wide Yard Sale, scheduled for May 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., are being accepted. Your address will be placed on a map for $5 or you can have a table at the office complex for $10. Your form must be filed with the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office by May 14. Forms can be downloaded from townofboscawen.org.
■The Parks & Recreation Department is recruiting upbeat summer camp counselors. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, are enthusiastic and are at least 16 years old. ■Elkins Café. Join Rachel by the fireplace on April 21 at 2 p.m. for an hour. Come and enjoy a coffee or tea and sit together. This is a time of group-led discussion and activity; we start the time with fellowship and then work into our program. Adults of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.
■Granite VNA hosts the program, “Focused on Health & Well-Being.” Join us as we discuss Community Benefit Programs and Services offered to enrich the health of our communities. ■The Cemetery By-Laws and Regulations require that all ornaments surrounding headstones, except U.S. flags and military stanchions, at the Maple Grove Cemetery be removed by Nov. 1 in preparation for winter maintenance. It is requested that any abandoned ornaments from last fall be claimed by May 10. These ornaments are presently located on the stonewall near the southwest corner of MGC.

■The Town of Salisbury’s Board of Selectmen has started planning for the creation of a Highway Department and is actively searching for property to purchase located in Salisbury to house these town services. The board would preferably like to find vacant land that is located on U.S. Route 4 or U.S. Route 127. ■The engineers for the replacement of Clothespin Bridge, VHB Engineering, will be attending the Selectboard Meeting on April 18. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Webster Town Hall. This meeting is to review the plans for the bridge replacement. The Bridge is to be replaced in the 2022 to 2023 period. Citizens who have questions on this project are encouraged to attend.
■The Webster Elementary School PTO is having a town-wide yard sale on May 21, but did you know that Salisbury and Boscawen are having one on the same day? Boscawen’s sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Salisbury sale runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Start collecting cash so you are ready to bring home some bargains!
