DUNBARTONOld Home Day

■Dunbarton Old Home Day (OHD) is Aug 13. Activities and times are: 10 am to10:30 am – OHD Parade on Route 13 (10 to 10:30 a.m.), retail vendors open (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), OHD Stage Nevers 2nd Regiment Band (10 to 11:30 a.m.), OHD Stage Wiz Kids Magic Show (noon to 1 p.m.), OHD Stage BJ Hickman Magician (1:15 to 2 p.m.), OHD Food Tent opens (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), LizzFerdina’s performers (2 to 3 p.m.), free ice cream served by town officials, homemade pies will be served with ice cream after the pie contest, donate a pie to win a prize! Face Painting, games for the kids and crafting demos all day.

■Toddler Story Time at the library will be on break after Aug. 17 and will return in September.

■Please note the changes to the Library’s schedule: the Library will be closed on Aug. 13 and Sept. 3. They will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the week of Aug. 30 to Sept 2.

■Update on Town Hall Construction: our windows and doors are delayed and will not arrive until Aug 19. As of this posting construction has slowed.

■Construction Book Sale. As the library awaits new bookshelves they are weeding, shifting and preparing their collection. Pop in to look at what is for sale. Bring your own bags.

■The fifth Annual Dunbarton Police Bicycle Rodeo is on Aug. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the elementary School on 20 Robert Rogers Rd. This is a free family event sponsored by the Dunbarton Police Department, in partnership with the Dunbarton Fire Department, the Dunbarton Elementary School, the Dunbarton Parent-Teacher Organization (“PTO”), and S&W Sports of Concord. Participants will have the opportunity to visit with their local police and fire departments, ride through a skills and agility course, discuss bicycle safety and enjoy some cold treats supplied by the PTO! Thanks to a grant supplied by the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), the Dunbarton Police Department will be passing out a limited supply of free multi-sport bicycle helmets and bicycle safety equipment on a first come, first served basis.
