■The Halloween Lighting Contest started on Oct. 2 and you can register your home’s decoration until Oct. 15 at https://allenstown-alt.org/. You may begin to vote for your favorite decorations until Oct. 29, the winners will be announced at 4 p.m. at the Allenstown Town Hall with prizes.

■“Making Jewelry” will be held on Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Suncook Senior Center with Deborah Williams. The first class items will be supplied.

■The St. John the Baptist Harvest Bazaar and Penny Sale will be held at 10 School St., at the Parish Hall. The sale begins on Oct. 21 (5 to 8 p.m.), and runs Oct. 22 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Oct. 23 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with drawings at 4 p.m.). They will have a children’s carnival, bake sale, raffle with $1,000 in prizes, door prizes and a hourly meat raffle on Sunday only.

They will learn how to draw a 3D pumpkin that can be incorporated into their art piece. Students will learn “art smart” tricks on how to create depth to their drawings.
