Committed leadership for Concord
I’ve appreciated the leadership and efforts of Mayor Byron Champlin, and I believe he’s earned support for a second term.
Byron has always shown a strong commitment to Concord. Even before his years in public service, Mayor Champlin was committed to being an active member of the community through his work and volunteerism. I first met him in his role of Coach for rec league basketball. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with him and participate in community conversations. He leads with thoughtfulness, listens to the community, and works to find practical solutions without making things political or divisive.
During his first term, Concord has added more housing options, business growth continues at Merchants Way on Exit 17, and the addition of Police Social Workers to the police department has been a thoughtful step that shows a commitment to addressing public safety with compassion and care.
The pace of progress is rarely quick, and more work needs to be done to build upon the progress made. I believe Mayor Champlin will build upon these efforts and more in a second term and I’ll be voting to support his continued service to our community.
