A middle-of-the-night police pursuit along Interstate 93 northbound through Bow ended with a Maine man arrested in Concord on Thursday night.
A state police trooper saw a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck moving at 100 miles per hour and tried to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Jacob Lemery from Naples, Maine, fled down the highway “at a high rate of speed,” per information from State Police.
Lemery took Exit 13 and, at the bottom of the ramp, crossed over a concrete median on Manchester Street and re-entered I-93 northbound. The car continued to speed over 100 miles per hour, police said. The car eventually stopped between Exits 16 and 17 from the damage sustained crossing over the median.
Lemery was arrested for reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled drug, both felonies, and misdemeanor charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, disobeying a police officer and reckless operation among other offenses.
He was released on personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Nov. 17.
