A staff member at Bow Elementary School was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning during student drop-off.

At 9:50 a.m., the Bow Police Department received a call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the elementary school parking lot.

Matt Pratte, a lieutenant with Bow police, said officers arrived at the scene and identified the injured person as a staff member at the school.

Emergency personnel from Bow and Concord treated the staff member at the scene before transporting them to Concord Hospital. Pratte said the individual suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Tuesday night’s snowstorm delayed the start of the school day. Staff members were assisting with parking lot traffic at the time of the incident.

The driver involved was a parent dropping off a middle school student, according to police.

The school resource officer was on duty but was not present at the elementary school when the incident occurred.
