The body found near Horseshoe Pond Lane last month has been identified, according to the Concord Police Department.

John Foth, 68, of Concord, was found in a wooded area near railroad tracks by a passerby on March 10, Interim Police Chief Barrett Moulton said. Foth’s body is believed to have been there, covered in snow, for some time before being discovered.

Moulton said the medical examiner has not determined an immediate cause or a manner of death. Foth’s death does not appear to have been suspicious.

Foth bounced between housing and homelessness, with his last address listed at 21 Prospect St. in Concord, according to police.

The investigation into Foth’s death is still ongoing. Police encourage anyone with more information to contact the department at (603) 225-8600. Anonymous tips can be submitted at (603) 226-3100 or online at www.concordregionalcrimeline.com.
