Sad indeed
James Theodore’s letter, “Sad,” where he says “Democrats have destroyed New Hampshire” and rails against the Democrats for not taking care of the elderly, welfare, his tax bill and a host of other problems. He claims that the Democrats are only interested in their “scummy laws and they vote no on everything.”
I don’t want to be the one to break it to Mr. Theodore, but if anyone knows him, could you gently let him know that the Republican party in NH has had the Governor’s office since 2017 and has had complete control of the legislature in nine of the last 11 years, including a complete trifecta (Governor’s Office, House, Senate) for the last six years.
Rising property taxes from Republican downshifting of costs to the towns, cuts to elder care and everything else he mentions have all happened under complete (100%) Republican control. His blaming the Democrats in NH for Republican policies is like Trump blaming President Biden for $6 diesel and high grocery prices caused by his (Trump’s) tariffs and the war he (Trump) started with Iran.
