Warmington is an advocate for healthcare
Cinde Warmington will work for accessible, affordable healthcare for the people of New Hampshire. This is one of many reasons why she has my vote for governor. Her background in healthcare law led her to speak up forcefully to reduce healthcare costs and expand access while she was on the New Hampshire Executive Council.
In contrast, her opponent, then-Senator Kelly Ayotte, voted against the Affordable Care Act, the program which has enabled many thousands of uninsured people across our state to find health insurance they could actually afford to pay for. Now, the Republicans’ Big Beautiful Bill has caused those premiums to soar, and many people in our state have had to choose whether to put food on the table or go without health insurance. Many have opted for the latter.
As the cost of healthcare skyrockets, the programs geared toward helping the most vulnerable among us are in jeopardy. Ayotte is doing nothing to counteract the federal government’s cruel cuts to Medicaid and the SNAP program. Instead, she is enacting policies which throw thousands of New Hampshire residents off Medicaid rolls, and she has imposed what is essentially an income tax on Medicaid beneficiaries if they earn even a dollar more than the legally defined poverty level. And even as grocery bills rise, she has made substantial cuts to the nutrition assistance program so many of our families, elderly and disabled rely on.
Let’s elect a governor who cares about the health of the people of our state.
