Shaker Village will be hosting a vintage car show Saturday (rain date Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a car or motorcycle of 25 years or older and get free admission for one driver, one passenger and entry to a cash raffle. Visitors are welcome to come and observe. For more information, visit shakers.org/oct-14-vintage-car-show. On Oct. 28 from 3-8 p.m., Shaker Village will be hosting a Ghost Encounters Tour. There will be a costume contest with many prizes. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 17, and children under 5 free. Purchase at shakers.org/oct-28-ghost-encounters.

BelmontTour town buildings

The Belmont community is welcome to an open house and listening session about town-owned buildings. This will take place Wednesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Belmont High School. This is an opportunity to share what the Facility Strategy Committee has learned about town buildings and get feedback from the people. LaconiaBelknap Mill hosts pumpkin cook-off

The Belknap Mill Society is seeking local restaurants and nonprofit organizations to participate in the “Great Pumpkin Cook-Off” during the N.H. Pumpkin Festival on Saturday. It will be held in Riverside Rotary Park from 2 to 4 p.m. The entry fee is $60 for nonprofit organizations and Belknap Mill members and $75 for nonmembers.
