Santorum's blueprint

Last modified: 11/19/2011 12:00:00 AM
Rick Santorum is the latest candidate to roll out an economic blueprint, in this case a 31-point point grab bag of ideas that includes cutting tax rates to two levels - 10 percent and 28 percent- eliminating the alternative minimum tax, eliminating the marriage penalties and keeping deductions like the child tax credit, one that's popular with social conservatives.

Politico reports that the plan, entitled 'Made in America: Empowering American Families, Building Economic Freedom,' also features bullet points like eliminating health care reform to try to deal with the nation's finances.

It also includes some points Santorum has talked about before, but others are more defined, like cutting the corporate income tax rate in half and wiping out the corporate income tax for manufacturers.
