‘’’Who is Vermin Supreme?’’’

Last modified: Sunday, October 21, 2012

VERMIN SUPREME is a "friendly fascist" who simply wants you to participate in the Pony Identification Program, harness the power of zombies and brush your teeth.

And now, as he prepares to protest both the Democratic and Republican national conventions, he wants to be the subject of a full-length documentary film - but there's a catch: The filmmaker, Stephen Onderick of Minneapolis, needs more money.

So Onderick has launched a Kickstarter campaign, which allows people to donate money to a certain cause within a set time. As of yesterday afternoon, 86 people had donated a total of $2,858 toward Who Is Vermin Supreme? Filmmakers have 11 more days to meet their $10,000 goal before the campaign expires.

Supreme, of Gloucester, Mass., received 837 votes in the Democratic presidential primary in January. Shortly after the election, he told the Monitor he is an anarchist in real life and is "just as broke" as he was before he became an internet sensation.

His own movie, Vote Jesus, The Chronicles of Ken Stevenson, has not yet made an impression on distributors.

Supreme has given Onderick hours of archival footage for the project.
