Former Bradford firefighter arrested for arson

A former firefighter was arrested in connection with multiple fires in Bradford and Warner on Wednesday.
Nathan Nichols, 19, of Weare, a former firefighter with the Bradford firefighter was arrested in connection with multiple outside fires, two of which involved structures, in the towns of Bradford and Warner.
The fires occurred between May 2022 and September 2023. The State Fire Marshall referred the Monitor to Amy McLaughlin, the public information officer, who declined to provide details on the locations of the fires.
Nichols is set to face an arraignment on February 1 at the Merrimack County Superior Court.
The investigation is a collaborative effort involving the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Bradford Police Department, and the Bradford Fire Department.
