A small fire broke out in downtown Concord on Sunday morning when an electrical tool caught ignited during at-home renovations in a vacant apartment, fire officials said.

Concord Fire Department was called to 53 Main Street around 11:30 a.m. for reports of a smoke in one of the upstairs units, which sits above Sharing Yoga and Col’s Kitchen, a plant-based eatery. The fire started while work was being done on the windowsill and quickly began to spread throughout the apartment, said fire chief John Chisholm. The fire was brought under control quickly.

Neither of the businesses or surrounding apartments were damaged and no injuries were reported. Sharing Yoga was open for business Monday.
