Memorial Day provides a time for solemn remembrance of those who died serving their country. Many local towns hold ceremonies or events to commemorate these lives lost in service. Here is a list of local Memorial Day events.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Mass at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 9 a.m. If it rains, the mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church instead.
Friday, May 30, Memorial Day Ceremony at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 11 a.m.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Ceremony at Gazebo, 3 Center Road, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Community Picnic 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Shuttle bus service will be provided from Memorial School starting at 3:30 p.m.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Service and Parade in the Center, 10 a.m.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Parade beginning outside Christ the King Church, then Thorndike St., left onto South Main St. and down Main St., left onto Park St., left onto North State St. and left onto Capitol St., back to the City Plaza for a brief ceremony.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Ceremony at Town Hall at 10 a.m. Wreath placement at the Town Common and Center Cemetery at 11 a.m. The Hopkinton Band will play at 1 p.m. at the Dunbarton Community Center.
Monday, May 26, Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony at Epsom Bible Church, 10 a.m.
