Roof repair at Dunbarton’s town office building

Dunbarton’s Town Office is undergoing a much-needed roof restoration as workers started peeling the old shingles off the roof this week. 

While the multi-day restoration project is underway, the town office was closed on Wednesday and Thursday, temporarily affecting administrative functions and meetings.

After reviewing bids, town officials chose Sentry Roofing, a Manchester company for the $19,000  job. 

Roof repairs have been a topic of discussion for many town buildings since last year, reflecting the town’s commitment to ensuring the safety and survival of its structures.

In July at the select board meeting, Sentry Roofing’s bid was once again accepted, this time for repairing the roof at the Highway Garage.

The Fire Station’s roof repair will follow a formal bid process to select a contractor for the project.
