High schools: Concord baseball splits series in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Highlights: Barry drove home Weaver on a fielder’s choice to give Concord a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh inning, but two walks and an error in the outfield allowed Souhegan to score two runs for the walkoff victory in the first of two games the Tide played in Cooperstown, N.Y., on Thursday.

Highlights: Williams and Vaillancourt had back-to-back RBI singles in the third inning, and Rossetti had one later in the frame to give the Tide a 3-0 lead in their second game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, N.Y. Concord had a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, and Craigue’s RBI double and Turant’s RBI single secured the win. Concord is now looking forward to its Veteran/Military Appreciate Game on May 9 and is looking to honor any former CHS baseball players still in the area.
