If you appreciate a good book, they’ll be something for you too Saturday during the Capital Arts Festival.

Joni B. Cole, author of Good Naked: Reflections on How to Write More, Write Better, and Be Happier, will speak at Gibson’s Bookstore at 2 p.m. and she’ll lead a writing workshop.

Cole addresses the most common challenges writers confront and offers disarmingly simple but effective solutions. She debunks popular misconceptions about how we are supposed to write and replaces them with strategies that actually work to get us started and stay motivated.

If you’re looking for something with a little more “Ka-pow!” Red River Theatres and Double Midnight Comics will be hosting events starting at 10 a.m. to mark Free Comic Book Day. More info at redrivertheatres.org or dmcomics.com.
