The NHTI athletics department will be holding a ceremony on Saturday to dedicate its new basketball court to former NHTI athletic director and head men’s basketball coach Paul Hogan, who retired this summer.

Hogan worked at NHTI for 23 years, from 1999-2022. He is the only coach in Lynx history to surpass 500 wins (he won 513 games) and led NHTI to seven Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) championships and two United States College Athletic Association (USCAA) national championships, in 2005 and 2020.

NHTI will also be renaming the court in honor of Hogan in a short ceremony from 12-12:30 p.m. on Saturday at NHTI’s Goldie Crocker Wellness Center Gymnasium.

The ceremony will be followed by a game between the No. 9 Lynx and No. 5 Central Maine Community College Mustangs (tip-off is slated for 1:15 p.m.). Both teams are battling for the top seed in the upcoming YSCC tournament.

The NHTI and No. 1 CMCC women’s teams will tip-off at 3:15 p.m.
