Concord’s Emerson, Pembroke’s Seidner nab LEC honors with Plymouth State softball

The Plymouth State University softball team matched a program record with five players selected to the LEC All-Conference Team, as voted by the league’s head coaches.

Junior outfielders Cassidy Emerson of Concord and Hannah Seidner of Pembroke both earned honors. Emerson was named to the All-LEC Second Team and Seidner took home All-LEC First Team honors.

Seidner posted a .330 average and excelled for the Panthers from the leadoff spot, while Emerson hit .293 with 24 RBI and 20 runs scored.

Plymouth State’s Ashley Deyo was named Player of the Year – the first-ever Panther to win the award – while Caitlyn Miller was named the Pitcher of the Year. Bruce Addison was voted Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
