ConcordPolice arrest man at Irving gas station

Multiple officers responded Sunday afternoon to the Irving gas station on Pleasant Street in Concord after a man became combative and refused to leave the property, police said.

Jansen Tomsic, 48, of Concord faces charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest in connection with the incident.

Police were initially called to the gas station for a report of a suspicious person who was harassing customers. When officers confronted Tomsic, he began to fight them, and as a result additional units were called to the scene. Police used pepper spray in order to take Tomsic into custody.

At least five Concord police vehicles were seen parked at the gas station on Sunday about 3:30 p.m. At the time, police had declined to comment on the nature of the call.
