Stable genius?

Donald Trump said in a recent tweet: “I went from VERY successful businessman, to top TV Star to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius . . . and a very stable genius at that!”

Who, in their right mind, would say something like that? The vast majority of stable, normal people would never call themselves a genius, even if were true. Yet here we have the president of the United States boasting that he is smarter than everyone else.

Each and every day I keep asking myself how did this man, who has an obsessive need for excessive attention and admiration, become the leader of the free world? It boggles the mind.
