■Volunteers for the Old Home Day committee are always welcome to attend the meetings. Their next meeting is on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Town Offices. Call Polly Dawson at (603) 796-7001 if you have questions. Meetings are held monthly on the third Monday except when it is a holiday.

■Join the skaters who are enjoying the Public Skating Rink on the Municipal Office field. It is open from sunrise to 9 p.m. with lighting and benches to be added.

■A free soup kitchen will be held on Saturday at the Grace Sovereign Fellowship Church at 235 High Street (Route 4 west). It starts at 4:30 p.m. and is held on the third Wednesday of each month.

■President’s Day will be celebrated on Feb. 20 and town offices, and the public library will be closed.

SALISBURY”No through Trucking” Ordinance

■Salisbury Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Feb. 15 at 7:15 p.m., upstairs at Academy Hall, 9 Old Coach Rd., to receive public comment on a newly proposed “No through Trucking” Ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available through the Selectmen’s Office or on the Town’s website at salisburynh.org.

■The Salisbury Book Group will meet on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at the library. The group will be reading, The Searcher, by Tana French. Please see the Library’s webpage or the town’s webpage at salisburynh.org for more information or changes.

■The Planning Board will meet at Academy Hall on Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Please see salisburynh.org for more information

■Thursday Night Cribbage. All are invited to join. All you need to do is show up pay a small fee to play and have fun. The group plays on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall on Route 4. If you have a question please call Helen Binette at 648-2156.

■Library hours are: Tuesday (1 to 7 p.m.); Wednesday (1 to 4 p.m.); Thursday (1 to 7 p.m.); and Saturday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Our Children’s Librarian is back on duty and Storytime will be every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with fun stories and crafts. The library trustee meetings are on the First Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m., more information can be found on the town website salisburynh.org.

■Property Forms were mailed this week. Once you have filled them out, please return them to the Town Hall. They are due no later than April 15 or you will have to pay a fine.

■Did you know that the Webster Library also has a Library of Things? It’s located at the library in a bookcase behind the main desk.

■The Planning Board will meet on Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

■The next Free Friday Film will be on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. in the meeting hall next to the library. The movie is Till which is about 14-year-old Emmett Till’s lynching in 1955, the trial of his murders, and the subsequent activism of Till’s mother as she tries to find justice for her son. There will be snacks and comfy chairs. Be aware that it may be chilly as the Town Hall is having heating issues.
