Booking the location of your wedding should be placed at the top of your to-do list after getting engaged. Popular spots can fill up quick, so if there’s a day or
location you have your heart set on, you may need to put down a deposit more than a year in advance.

Here’s looking at just some of the spots in the region you can pick from for your big day:

On the water

Mill Falls at the Lake: 312 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith. Choose from Church Landing (230 guests) or the Chase House (120 guests) for a wedding with views of the Winnipesaukee waterfront. millfalls.com/celebrate.

Lake Shore Village Resort: 120 Cottage Road, Weare. Spend the whole day with the wedding tent and guest lodging all in one place on the shore of Lake Horace. Up to 150 guests. lakeshorevillageresort.com.

La Piece: 322 W. Main St., Tilton. With brick and wood interior, it’s designed to hold a variety of events. It overlooks the Winnipesaukee River. lapiece-theroom.com.

Anchorage at the Lake: 725 Laconia Road, Tilton. The rustic site features an expansive deck on the shore of Lake Winnisquam. anchorageatthelake.com.

Camp Starfish: 12 Camp Monomonac Road, Rindge. Large outdoor wedding in the dining hall, part of the Lodge, can seat upwards of 160 people. Rented tents can extend the party to overlooking Lake Monomonac or even down on the beach. campstarfish.org/retreats /weddings.html.

The Woodbound Inn: 247 Woodbound Road, Rindge. With views of Lake Contoocook and Mount Monadnock, the inn has spaces to fit most wedding gatherings. Monadnock Berries: 545 W. Hill Road, Troy. Get ready in the bride’s cabin. Take in views of Mount Monadnock and berry orchards from the observation deck and meet the animals. The wedding barn fits 100 guests in case the weather turns sour. farmweddings.us.

Allrose Farm: 121 East Road, Greenfield. Have your ceremony in the outdoor amphitheater then bring the party inside the wooden barn with a centerpiece stone fireplace. allrosefarmwedding.com.

Art lovers

Kimball Jenkins School of Art: 266 N. Main St., Concord. The former estate of the Kimball family in a Victorian mansion is now an art school. There’s also a more casual Carriage House and gardens. kimballjenkins.com/wedding-events.

Capitol Center for the Arts: 44 S. Main St., Concord. Get married in the Chubb Theatre (1,304 seated or 80 on stage), dance and dine in Governor’s Hall (422 guests) or try the stately Kimball House (125 guests). ccanh.com/rentals.

Belknap Mill: 25 Beacon St., Laconia. The mill is more than 190 years old with brick interior walls, tall windows and exposed beams. belknapmill.org

Merrimack Valley Railroad Station: 11 Park St., Northfield. The freight train station was built in the 1800s and restored into a function hall in 1990. It can fit up to 150 people. merrimackvalleyrailroadstation.com.

New London Historical Society: Old Village Road, New London. Close to lodging and local churches, you can choose to have your wedding in the Phillips barn or outside on the historic village’s lawn. newlondonhistorical-society.org/weddings.

Old Meeting House: 1 New Boston Road, Francestown. This National Historic Landmark is more than 200 years old in a picture-perfect New England town. You can fit more than 200 guests at your ceremony and be accompanied by either piano or organ. francestownmeetinghouse.org

Pats Peak: 686 Flanders Road, Henniker. Enjoy close-up mountain views from large decks, then come inside for a meal by the stone fireplace. Up to 200 guests. patspeak.com.

The College Camp on Wilson Pond: 19 Page Court, Swanzey. Part of Keene State College, the College Camp features a 100-seat outdoor pavilion and a camp building equipped with comfortable furniture, an electric fireplace, conference tables, a complete kitchen, wireless internet and a projection screen. keene.edu/campus/ events /scheduling/college-camp.
