Woman whose body found along I-89 in Hopkinton ID’d; man arrested

New Hampshire State Police have identified the woman whose body was found on the side of Interstate 89 in Hopkinton early Monday, and have made an arrest in the case.

Troopers identified the woman as Gina C. Maiorano, 27, of Henniker. They had previously released an image of a tattoo on her body to help with the identification.

An autopsy by New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval determined that the cause of death as blunt impact head injuries.

Police on Tuesday night arrested Thomas Shane Hanley, 30, of Henniker, and charged him with conduct after an accident (felony), breach of bail and stalking.
