Earle “Chip” Chesley, Concord’s director of general services, will retire after 22 years of overseeing the city's infrastructure and essential public works services.

Chesley leads a department of approximately 130 employees across six divisions: administration, highway and utilities, public properties, water treatment, wastewater treatment and equipment services. ​

A licensed professional engineer, Chesley holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware.

His last day will be Wednesday, April 30.
