HILLSBOROUGH / DEERINGKids music show concludes summer

■On Aug. 7, Fuller Public Library invites you to their End of Summer Reading Party from 9 to 11 a.m. with guest Mr. Aaron! We have a morning planned with music, fun, free books, and snacks! Bring your own blankets or chairs. A portion of our program has been sponsored by the Hoegen Family.

■On Aug. 6 and 7, members of the Deering Community Church and the Women’s Guild will be at Hillsboro Shaw’s from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to promote the upcoming Deering Community Summer Faire and sell tickets for our Grand Raffle which includes three great prizes: a portable hot tub, wine gift basket or a gift card/certificate tree. First pick gets first choice! Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Proceeds from this raffle and the Faire go to support local organizations such as the Hillsboro and Weare Food Pantry, Operation Christmas, Lion’s Club Christmas Baskets, GHSS and others. Donations are also welcome!

■Save the dates of Aug. 21 and 22 to attend History Alive in Hillsborough. The field on Jones Road features reenactments of four significant wars in American history. The Historic Center on E. Washington Road will focus on Abenaki history and culture. Additionally, there will be many hands-on exhibits, crafters, and demonstrations with many geared toward children. We are looking for volunteers to assist at both sites. Check the website at historyalivenh.org or call 464-0107.

■Hillsboro Legion Auxiliary will be having their annual Craft Fair on Oct. 30 from 9 to 2. Spaces with a table will be $25. Interested vendors can contact Elaine at 464-9096 for more information and to reserve a space.
