Concern about a culvert in Deerfield has led the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to close state Route 107 as it passes over Freeses Pond.

The bridge was closed Monday morning, Nov. 21. It will be reopened to traffic once the work is completed.  Repairs could take as long as several weeks, although as of Monday afternoon state engineers were still determining the severity of the situation.

This bridge is scheduled to be replaced in 2023  as a part of the Department of Transportation’s 10-year plan. Current repairs are intended to keep the bridge in service until it is replaced.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure using NH Route 43 and US Route 4.
