Letter: Final resignation

I am sending this from the Concord Hospital VNA Hospice House. I have decided that it is time to say goodbye with a few parting thoughts. I want to thank all of you that have been with me not only on this part of the journey but over the years. This would include my friends, family, my SEIU brothers and sisters, the NH adult education community, my NH Department of Education community, my basketball playing friends and particularly my fellow Democratic legislators on the House Education Committee as well as the voters from Concord’s Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

I hope that I have served my constituents well in our continued effort to make government work for everyone not just those at the top off the economic ladder. As Joe Hill said, “Don’t mourn, organize,” and Mother Jones, “Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living.” Keep up the good fight and stay strong.
