Ward line moves

■The special guest speaker at the Franklin Rotary Club on April 27 will be Susan Dyment from Opening Our Homes to the World, speaking about the exchange program that has hosted many youths in Franklin over the years. Three FHS exchange students (from Italy, Germany and France) and one of the hosts, Ron White, will be there to share their experiences. ■Franklin Opera House School Vacation Week Matinee on April 28 at 1 p.m. Michael Zerphy with his “Zany Acts” show, geared for general audiences, is a concert of clowning and fun for all. Michael creates a world in which the ordinary becomes magical and failure is turned into success. Music, juggling, a wide variety of props and even audience participation are included. All seats are general seating and $6.

■Hero Hustle, to support the Pemi Youth Center of Franklin will be held on May 14 at 8 a.m. Dress like a superhero and race down River Street Extension. The race is not officially timed, and awards will be given for best costumes. Visit runreg.com/pycfherohustle or register on the day of the race. Cash only, please. ■Due to the recent decennial US Census, the City of Franklin must readjust ward lines to address changes in population distribution. A fact sheet of options has been sent via email to residents who have signed up for notifications, and color-coded maps are on display in City Hall. There will be an opportunity for public input on proposed changes at the May 2 City Council meeting, at 6 p.m. You can also visit franklinnh.org, on the home page, click on “News” for “Franklin Ward Line Changes Proposed Fact Sheet.”

■The Planning Board meets on April 27 at 7 p.m. Visit the city website at franklinnh.org for the agenda.

■The Twin Rivers Food Pantry is organizing a community-wide yard sale to take place on May 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Registration is $12, which includes a yard sale permit and your location listed and located on a map. Registrations can be obtained at the Food Pantry, Aubuchon Hardware and Franklin Savings Bank. ■Blood Pressure Testing takes place at the TRIP Center, Rowell Drive, on April 26 at 11 a.m. This service is provided by the Franklin VNA.

■Think Spring Cookout on April 26 at 11:20 a.m. at the TRIP Center. Enjoy BBQ fare with a strawberry sundae for dessert. Give the TRIP Center a call at (603) 934-4151 so they can expect you.
